Justice League The Snyder Cut

UPDATimes - Regarding the film "Snyder Cut" or the film "Justice League" which has not been released director Zack Snyder gave a few snippets, on Thursday (6/18/2020).

The 34-second footage shows Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot when he discovered an artifact in an abandoned cave.

The video goes to super villain Darkseid or Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, "The bell has rang and they have heard it. In the darkness among the stars. Ding, the God is dead."

"Snyder Cut" is a long version of "Justice League" which will air on HBO Max next year.

But Synder had to resign a few months before the original film was released due to a family tragedy.

Joss Whedon, who was involved in "The Avengers" then came to finish the film.

"Justice League" features Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman, Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Superman (Henry Cavill), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Flash (Ezra Miller).

After "Justice League" got a protest because of its inconsistent color, DC comics fans protested using the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut on social media for years to encourage the release of the original version of Snyder's work.

Jason Momoa wrote on Instagram on Thursday (6/18/2020) about the version of Zack Snyder that displays the figure of Aquaman with extraordinary.

"The best part about being Aquaman is Zack Snyder who created me so I can see all this amazing stuff before everyone," Jason said.

The film "Justice League" has long ended in world cinema. With unsatisfactory box office results and various criticisms (both on-point and inconsequential), Justice League as a whole did not succeed in destroying the dominance of Marvel's "The Avengers" as a mash-up film or mobs between superheroes comic characters.

Despite having a very bad performance in theaters, Justice League did not make a big wave. Maybe only the introduction of The Flash and Aquaman is the 'best point' of Justice League films; especially for Aquaman who previously carried a geeky image due to the portrayal of his character in the era of the cartoon series "Super Friends".

Like all cinema films, Justice League also gets a home film version. This version is important to reduce fans' dissatisfaction with the Justice League cinema films which throw away a lot of scenes that should be there. Indicators of cutting scenes are seen in movie trailers, where some scenes in the trailer are not in the cinema. Blu-ray version is expected to restore the missing scenes.

Unfortunately, the home version of the Justice League was not as good as the home version of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". Dawn of Justice gives many extra minutes in the home version (about 20 extra minutes compared to the cinema version).

Overall, the home version of the Justice League is hardly too different from the cinema version. And this angered fans. Expressions of emotion and disappointment were mainly directed at Zack Snyder, director of the Justice League film who was in the middle of passing his directing assignment to his friend, Josh Whedon. In my opinion, the actions of the fans are wrong, because they should blame Kevin Tsujihara. Tsujihara decides matters regarding the Warner Bros. film. Not Snyder. Especially Whedon.

Because the Blu-ray version of Justice League was not as cool as they had imagined, fans began to cast theories about the existence of "Justice League: The Snyder Cut".

There are supporting factors that led to the emergence of this wild theory. The first is clearly the existence of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition". The home version, Blu-ray from the Batman v Superman cinema movie has a longer duration, more important scenes, and an adult rating, aka R-Rated. In essence the Ultimate Edition version of Batman v Superman is truly ‘ultimate’.

Also if you remember the classic film "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut", the "director's cut" version of the film is a film that is "pure and complete in line with vision and mission". The situation of Justice League with Superman II is almost similar. Both changed directors in the middle of the road (Richard Donner was replaced by Richard Lester), and the first version of each of these titles drew criticism. The 'Richard Lester' version of Superman II received a bad opinion, and this is inversely proportional to the 'Richard Donner' version of Superman II, which earned fans praise.

Another factor why 'Snyder Cut' is considered to exist by fans is because of the 'act' of Zack Snyder himself.

For fans who are diligent in following Snyder's social media, of course, know that the man is active on the "Vero" photo + video sharing website. Snyder often uploads photos and videos on his Vero account. Among the uploads are photos and videos from the film productions he is currently working on.

And guess what Zack Snyder uploaded a while ago on Vero? Two photos are almost certainly derived from the process of shooting the film Justice League.

Actually, the two photos uploaded by Snyder do not necessarily justify the existence of the 'Snyder Cut' movie Justice League. But these two photos remain suspicious photos for Justice League fans. The first photo uploaded by Zack Snyder on his Vero account is a photo of the actor Aquaman, Jason Momoa. To be honest, there really isn't anything special about the black and white photo; seen Momoa sitting in the back of a pickup (a car that seems to be used in the Russian scene).

Warner Bros. neither confirmed nor denied the 'Snyder Cut' requested by fans. While Zack Snyder himself did not explicitly state the existence of Snyder Cut for the Justice League. Which ultimately causes everything to be unclear. Blurred and of course disappointing.

"Justice League: The Zack Snyder Cut" is still trapped between facts, myths or empty hopes. There are even opinions that say even if that version exists, it is not certain that the film will change the opinion of the Justice League movie that has been overly ugly in the public eye.

And even if it turns out that Justice League: Snyder Cut exists and is it better than the cinema & Blu-ray versions? Still it's too late. Like a wound. Can dry but will still leave marks. But at least it's commensurate with what fans get. That is a film that fits the director's vision and mission.
