UPDATimes - Former winner of Universe Malaysia 2017, Samantha Katie James has recently become a public conversation after issuing controversial comments related to George Floyd's demonstration.

A statement issued by Samantha Katie James is now widely criticized by netizens. In fact, the Miss Universe Malaysia Organization (MUMO) has issued a statement that they have no connection with the statement issued by Samantha.

Reporting from the Malay Mail, Tuesday (2/6/2020), he had written a few sentences through his snapgram which discussed the demonstration of Floyd Geogre who died due to the arrest that killed him.

"I don't live in America, this has nothing to do with me, but for me, it seems like 'white' wins," he wrote.

"If you are angry, you respond with anger and sadness that means they have power over you. Humans are stupid," he added.

After that, he also wrote a number of other comments through the snapgram which has made netizens increasingly angry towards him. Netizens even rated him unsuitable as the winner of the contest he had won.

"For black people, calm down, think of it as a challenge, make you stronger. You choose to be born as a 'colored person' in America for a reason," he said.

"To understand a particular lesson. Accept it for what it is, until now hunger and poverty still exist. That is what happened. It is inevitable. The best that can be done is to remain calm, keep your heart, do not break. That is your responsibility," he said.
