UPDATimes - In the midst of the corona pandemic COVID-19, various parties continued to raise awareness about the importance of protecting themselves. One important message was delivered by senior actor, Jackie Chan.

Citing the People page, Monday (6/14/2020), this 65-year-old man shared his video through a personal Twitter account on Friday, April 3, 2020. The message contained how they could protect themselves and others in situations like now.

"I know this is a very difficult time for everyone. We all face the same problem, the corona virus," Jackie Chan said in the 45-second video.

The Hong Kong actor added, it is very important to stay at home with family and follow government regulations. Jackie also asked to cover themselves when going out into public spaces.

"If you have to go out, please remember to wear your face mask and wash your hands frequently," he continued.

"Protecting yourself means protecting your family. Staying safe, staying strong. I also believe we have a brighter future. Thank you," concluded Jackie Chan.

The message delivered by Jackie Chan was on the same day when federal health experts at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommended that Americans wear non-medical masks or cloths.

US health officials are asking that Americans wear cloth masks that can be found around the house.

The new recommendation does not replace the government's request that people follow social distance rules, avoid public meetings, and remain six feet apart or about 2 meters from the others.

General Surgeon Jerome Adams cautioned that it is very important to wash hands before wearing face masks. He also recommended that the public not use medical-grade masks, such as the N95.
